Lacking years of upkeep and maintenance this 1950s house was in need of some serious TLC. Osborne Construction was called upon to bring this house up to its full potential while staying within the desired budget by the home owner.
Before the cosmetic updating commenced, Osborne Construction made a number of structural changes to improve the look and functionality of the house, some of these included; opening up a wall between the kitchen and living room improving which helped to improve the amount natural light reaching the kitchen while also creating a perfect spot for a breakfast island. A key additional structural improvement to the property included the increased ceiling height and changing the roof line to enable the upstairs bathroom to have a full height shower as well as replacing rotten floor joists caused by a leaking bathtub.
Once the structural aspects were complete, Osborne Construction was able to proceed with completing the cosmetic improvements of the property that make it modern, functional, and desirable to live in. Cosmetics included extending the roof overhang, soffits and fascia, siding, windows & doors, flooring, baseboards & casing, counter tops, and lastly installing frost walls in the basement.
